Face the Plague: A High-Stakes Descent into the Unknown!
This place is a message... and part of a system of messages... pay attention to it!
Sending this message was important to us. We considered ourselves to be a powerful culture.
This place is not a place of honor... no highly esteemed deed is commemorated here... nothing valued is here.
What is here is dangerous and repulsive to us. This message is a warning about danger.
The danger is in a particular location... it increases towards a center... the center of danger is here... of a particular size and shape, and below us.
The danger is still present, in your time, as it was in ours.
The danger is to the body, and it can kill.
The form of the danger is a virulent pathogen.
The danger is unleashed only if you substantially disturb this place physically. This place is best shunned and left uninhabited.
Greetings, Survivors!
We have a massive update regarding our upcoming gathering at Deathcon. Before the rumors start flying, we ask that you read this transmission in full. Take a breath—here we go.
For the first time, there is a rare, terrifying opportunity to encounter the Omni Plague at Deathcon. But this isn't a mandatory death sentence; it’s a legendary choice for the boldest among us.
The "Isolation" Protocol
To face the Plague, you must voluntarily opt into a specialized, high-stakes Mission. This mission takes your chosen character far beyond the safety of the valley to an isolated, high-risk site.
Because of the extreme distance and environmental volatility—think flash floods, rockslides, or brutal weather—any character who embarks on this journey will be unable to return to the main Deathcon site for the remainder of the weekend. The Details (No Spoilers!) Guides will collect the character’s sheet for processing directly after the Mod.
Safety First: The reason your character stays behind after the mod is purely logistical within the game world. Choosing this mission is NOT a guaranteed negative consequence or permanent death.
The "Return" Policy: If your character survives the Mod, your character remains fully playable and will be ready for action at the very next event you attend. They just have a very long walk home!
Stay in the Fight: Once your character departs for the Mission, you don't stop playing after the Mod. You can jump right back into the main event at Deathcon as:
One of your other existing characters.
A custom NPC designed alongside our story team.
A Mighty Lost Survivor Raider—an elite NPC built specifically to match your personal playstyle.
Are you ready to stare into the abyss of the Omni Plague and hope to live to tell the tale? The choice is yours.
Adventure awaits at the end of the world!
